The annual Miss Garner Scholarship Pageant
is a preliminary to the Miss North Carolina pageant held in June as part of the national Miss America pageant system.

The Miss American Organization is one of the Nation's leading achievement programs and the World's largest provider of scholarship assistance for young women.

Miss North Carolina Outstanding Teen! 2008

The Garner's Outstanding Teen pageant is part of the Miss America Outstanding Teen program which started in 2004. Garner's Outstanding Teen reigns from November to October and is eligible for the Miss North Carolina Outstanding Teen pageant held each year in June.

Each year Miss North Carolina and Miss North Carolina's Outstanding Teen represent North Carolina in the Miss America and Miss Outstanding Teen pageants.

Young ladies from age six to twelve are chosen by local preliminaries to participate in the Carolina Princess mentoring program. This program gives young ladies who aspire to compete on a local and state level a chance to participate in community events during the year. The Carolina Princess reigns from March to February each year.
